Our journey is hard to put into words. I already had two children from a previous marriage and had no plans to have more children. In fact, I even had tubal ligation. At that point, I had sworn off relationships entirely—until one day, a dating site unexpectedly placed my future husband’s picture on my screen.

I did marry that incredible man. We talked about children but never anticipated the challenges ahead. We attempted a tubal reversal, which sadly resulted in a miscarriage, followed by an ectopic pregnancy that sent me to the hospital. It felt like the door to growing our family had closed—until we were referred to a specialist in Colorado.

Through IVF, we were blessed with two more beautiful children. We also had five remaining frozen embryos and were excited about expanding our family further. However, doctors later warned us that another pregnancy could be a serious risk to my health.

We were devastated. For months, we prayed and explored our options. We could discard the embryos or donate them to science—both choices we couldn’t accept. Hiring a gestational carrier was another possibility, but the cost was overwhelming. As we researched, we discovered Nightlight Christian Adoptions and the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption Program, and it turned out to be an incredible blessing. The process was not easy—finding a family whose values and beliefs aligned with ours took time.

Eventually, we met the perfect family. After reading their story and seeing their deep desire to become parents, we knew in our hearts they were the right match.

They later welcomed two beautiful little girls into the world. Since then, we’ve shared pictures, memories, and even met in person, building a truly special connection.

Now, seven years later, we’ve chosen a second wonderful, loving family for our remaining three embryos. We’re excited to see where this next chapter leads and are grateful for the incredible journey that brought us here.
