Looking back on the beginning of our journey, it is truly remarkable how blessed we are as a family.

After our first year of marriage and the excitement of buying our first home, the natural next step for many would be starting a family. However, for us, it was not that simple. Building our family required perseverance, unwavering faith, and navigating through a rollercoaster of emotions.

I always remind my husband that we are in this together, that no battle is fought alone. Our family and friends have been an incredible source of support throughout our struggle with infertility. Positivity and our strong belief in a higher power carried us through the toughest moments. The power of prayer has been nothing short of miraculous.

Once we settled into our new home in October 2017, our focus shifted to expanding our family. We had received a reproductive endocrinologist’s contact information from my cousin previously, just in case. In February 2018, we finally reached out.

We scheduled a consultation early in February. During our appointment, the new doctor introduced us to Nightlight Christian Adoptions and the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption Program. Later that month, we attended an infertility conference in our hometown where we had the chance to speak with a Nightlight team member. That moment reignited our hope that one day we would hold our own children in our arms and start our family. We felt guided towards this opportunity to experience the wonders of pregnancy, parenthood, and all the beautiful moments that come with it.

Fast forward to November, and we received the phone call we had been praying for: We were matched with embryos!

In March 2019, we had our first embryo transfer, and it was a success! Every morning and night, we prayed for a safe and healthy pregnancy and for our baby’s well-being. It was a whirlwind of emotions, especially with my father’s declining health as he entered hospice care. He held on until December 2019, just two weeks before our precious girl was born.

Our sweet daughter is the greatest blessing in our lives. As we approach the fifth anniversary of that embryo transfer, we cannot imagine our lives without our precious Snowflakes Baby. Every night, we express our gratitude in prayers, thanking God for the precious gift of her.
