The Embryo Adoption Awareness Center has been providing educational information for several years regarding the importance of having a plan for your remaining embryos in the event of separation, divorce or death.
If you have already created embryos or if you are planning to create embryos in the near future you should read this article regarding embryos in a divorce case in Canada. Unfortunately, separation, divorce and death are not unusual occurrences.
The Awareness Center hosted a webinar presented by Ronald L. Stoddard, Esq. on pre-planning for your remaining embryos. Some programs also allow you to name their program specifically in your will or trust as the designated agency to place your embryos for adoption.
We encourage you to give some thought to this important decision before you are in the midst of the difficult event.
